This Darkness

I am wild
I am nature’s child
And I run through this darkness

With my claws and teeth
Search for what’s beneath
As I explore this darkness

Through the woods I prowl
Bare my teeth and howl
And I challenge this darkness

And then the prey is gone
And so the hunt is on
As I smell fear in this darkness

So off I race
As I give chase
To the one who flees in this darkness

And the fear smells good
Racing through the wood
I am the heart of this darkness

Till the prey falls down
Till my teeth pull down
And I hear screams in this darkness

And the flesh I tear
And the bones lay bare
So white and red in this darkness

And my flesh stained fangs
End my hunger pangs
As I gorge in this darkness

Feel the power serge
As our bodies merge
And hear me roar in this darkness

And I become aware
Of their still-eyed stare
And I am dead in this darkness

I look down on me
My torn flesh I see
And I mourn in this darkness

And salt water stir
And disturbs this fur
As I change in this darkness

And my truth I speak
I am not a freak
And I am whole in this darkness

For I am strong
I will carry on
And I’m at home in this darkness

Moon crowns this night
With stars so bright
I am one with this darkness

And the ground is me
And everything I see
And I am all in this darkness

I am wild
I am nature’s child
And I run through this darkness

Stoneacorn (Xander)

These songs, poems, and reflections offer an insight to who I am and are my autobiography. I am a poet, a song writer, a witch. I dance my Wyrd in my practice; in how I choose to live; in who I share my moments with. My heart is black, white, grey and purple like the stone beneath my feet, the bones of Grandfather Green. My eyes contain her Stars and her deep dark well as I straddle the hedge and listen to the winds. My form is the tree that connects all realms, clothed in holly and oak. I am Stoneacorn
